Character

Name: Blue
Fandom: Pokemon Special
Gender: Female
Age: Seventeen
Time Period: Post-FireRed LeafGreen Arc
Wing Color: Bright blue
History: bulbapedia & Serebii ; between the both of them her past is fairly well covered.

Personality:
Throughout the whole series, Blue can be described in one word; clever. Blue is extremely clever and smart, easily outsmarting her enemies. During the fight with Sabrina she was able to get her to slash her chest in order to release her pokemon. She's great at figuring out tactics to defeat certain people. Along with taking certain precautions against others such as having Ditty be her arm while fighting Lorelei. You won't find her using the same tactics against two different people unless she's sure that it'll work. Out of Red, Green, and Blue; Blue proves herself to be the least reckless. Thinking things though before charging into battle - usually. Professor Oak also claims during the FRLG Arc that he left an item with due to the fact that she wasn't hotheaded like the other two. She'd be smart enough to keep it a secret unlike those two who would blurt it out.

Due to the character development that Blue made during the series, she's a lot less reliant on her self. She trust others more and isn't the type to refuse help anymore. She won't deny others help or push them away, nor will she trick them for her own needs. Blue's learned that she doesn't have to keep everything to herself anymore and try to solve everything herself. Professor Oak helped teach her this at the semi-finals of the Pokemon League, giving her a pokedex as well. Causing her to begin crying in public. This was the first time that Blue showed her softer side in the series. That she wasn't just a simple thief and haggler. She had more people than just Silver to rely on. She's opened herself up a lot since than, no longer keeping people at a distance with tricks and other methods. She's mature much more in a sense, lessening down the guard that she put up due to her days with Mask of Ice and shifting more towards her bubbly, gentle side. Meeting Red and Green caused her to stop yearning about wanting friendship and trust from others and actually get it.

The fact that Blue is also much less mischievous goes with the above. While she's still crafty and sneaky, she no longer gets into trouble from this. More she uses her skills for the greater good. Blue isn't the type to steal or haggle people of their money with fake items anymore. Just as she got over the fear of birds that the Mask of Ice gave her, Blue also slowly grew out of the bad habits that he caused her to have to survive after she and Silver escaped. Only keeping the necessary ones that she would still need for survival, such as tactics to sneak around unseen and win a battle that she wouldn't be able to with strength. Blue isn't a blunt strength fighter in general, rather she's a calculative fighter. She uses strategics to work around and defeat others. This is what put her at a disadvantage with Deoxys, an enemy that she couldn't see. As an invisible enemy, she couldn't develop a plan to defeat it. Nonetheless, she was able to use her Silph scopes to capture a glimpse of the pokemon, once again showing off her crafty side as she'd edited the scopes to work on all pokemon.

Blue has also shown herself to have a rather gentle, sister-like side. This is especially shown around Silver, whom she has been like a sister too since they were young. Later though, she tends to be more gentle and caring to the others as well. Helping Yellow whenever she needed it, and waiting for Red to cool down slightly after he darted off in the FRLG Arc. This side is of her isn't shown as often, usually it's only to those who she cares enough to show too. It's often hidden behind her more playful nature. She's more of the type to care from a distance than upfront. Even to Silver this applies from time to time, to the point where she attempted to send him to his hometown of Viridian without telling him so that he couldn't participate in the fight. Under the disguise of an old man no less. Of course, that ended up not working. She also helped Yellow being mostly discreet during her journey, until she needed to show herself. Blue often tends to be like the older sister of the Pokedex group.

Let's not forget that Blue can also be rather kind when she isn't joking or messing with people. She's actually quite the kind person in general unless she give a reason not to be. This has been true to her ever since she was a little kid, being extremely kind to Silver when she first met him. She won't turn you away if you ask for help or advice, though she has her own way of helping. One that isn't always the easiest to realize. Once again showing her more secretive, mischievous side. Over the series she's developed so much that she's sweet/kind to people in general, even if she doesn't have anything to gain out of it. She's become a generally happy girl.

Blue does enjoy joking around and teasing people nonetheless. It's one of her ways of showing affection. She's fairly observant on crushing and realizing if someone likes another person, and often uses it as teasing material. Though, she's also the type of person that will attempt to try and put two crushes together. She easily notices Yellow's crush on Red, along with how oblivious Red is towards it. Blue also likes flirting with others, it's fun for her. Romance is something that seems to be of a bit of fun for Blue, she likes the idea of it. Not that she's actually interested in being in a relationship. Once again though, she no longer flirts in order to receive/trick something out of someone. More so, it's her way of letting someone know that they're cute and attractive. Obviously, Blue isn't a shy person in the least. If she has a opinion she'll let it be known. She's not the type to get embarrassed easily.

With that said, Blue is determined. Just like any of the other pokedex holders. She's not the type to give up. Even going as far as facing her fears to capture the three legendary birds in G/S/C Arc. She realizes the being a pokedex holder is her duty, and even tells her parents this delaying their reunion even longer. She puts her full effort into what she does. Especially if someone she cares about is in danger. This shows as how Blue was able to master the Hydro Cannon quickly, without having to do though the tunnels unlike Red and Green. She's a quick-learner. However her determination and stubbornness to help others isn't always the best thing, it often gets her into trouble. That's a typical thing for manga characters though. It's rare for Blue to rush into danger without thinking things through. It does happen though, like when she ran towards hologram of her parents without thinking.

Nowadays, Blue is fairly open with her emotions. At least when around the people that she knows. She openly cries when Silver reunites with his father. She won't hide if she'll feeling rather mute or down, or at least as much. However she will put up a strong face if she needs too. She also doesn't hesitate to scold or tell someone to shut up when she already has her mind made up. She's stubborn, the type of stubborn that refuses to change her mind once it's made.

To sum it all up, Blue has both a rather playful and gentle nature. She's much like a older sister to those closest to her. Blue has her moments where she's mature and patient, but at times she often enjoys acting like a child. This happens mostly when she messing around with flirting and teasing others. Just as with all the other Pokedex Holders, Blue is courageous and brave. Willing to do all that she can to help others. She's changed a lot since the beginning of the series, but she still enjoys being slightly mischievous. It comes with being clever. As it's one of her greatest strengths, she's not willing to just let it go. However she does know her limits now. When to or when not to take advantage of someone.

Strengths:
Blue will be bring three of her pokemon with her including,
Blastoise (Blasty)
Wiggytuff
Ditto (Ditty)
.

Physical:
Blue is in great physical shape for a girl of her age, gaining both great stamina and pain endurance during her time with the Mask of Ice. She's extremely tough in that regard. She makes good recover time, pushing herself right back into action after waking up from a grief-induced coma and working to master the Hydro Cannon not long later. She knows how much to work herself in order to ensure that she lasts, unless it's an occasion where she needs to push herself. Such as when freeing Mewtwo by using all of her pokemon. Despite not having any fighting capabilities, she can still hold her own. She doesn't have any special powers either, but she tends to use her body as her advantage when she can. Blue won't deny that her body is flattering, and if the situation calls for it she will use it. Whether it be to get into a area, trick someone when she has to, or inspire jealousy within someone else. Also while Blue is never shown to be the flexible type, she can still sneak around without being seen. She just isn't the type to win with just strength.

Mental/Emotion:
This is where almost all of Blue's strength comes from. Over and over again she proves that she's tactical during the series. One example would be when she tricked Red by acting cute and innocent appealing to his boyhood. Blue is also mentally strong due to the torment that the Mask of Ice put her though, she's seen the darker side of life. Even more so after making friends with the older Pokedex Holders, who helped her with any emotional issues that the Mask of Ice had given her. Such as her fear of birds. She's a brave and determined girl, just as any of the other Pokedex Holders. That along with a strong sense of duty, though she was in tears she was able to explain her duty as a Pokedex Holder to her parents and be strong despite knowing how much she wanted to reunite with them.

It's practically impossible to outsmart Blue, more than often she's one step ahead of the game. Such as with Lorelei when she had Ditty be her arm, which helped when she got stuck to Sabrina. She also has slippery fingers, it's so easy for her to steal from unsuspecting people. Even items such as the Hydro Cannon bracelet from Bianca. Also, as mentioned by Professor Oak, Blue is the least likely out of the three original Kanto holders not to give things away to enemies. If she has an advantage than she's not going to let it be known until it's time, this helps her a lot during her fighting. Due to being raised by the Mask of Ice, she's very street-smart and actually fairly techno wise. She revised the Sliph scopes by herself and lived almost on her own for a bit. Blue also has a grand amount of intelligence in various subjects. One of the most important ones would be her knowledge in evolving pokemon, hence why she was nicknamed The Evolver by Professor Oak. Though she did hold off evolving her pokemon in order to give the appearance of having weaker unevolved pokemon (other than Blastoise), until she needed to in order to support Blastoise.

Weaknesses:
Physical;
Blue is just a average girl, she doesn't have any super powers to help her. Just her pokemon. Even with her good stamina and pain endurance she can still be knocked out. She doesn't have any special abilities that can keep her from getting injured unless she planned for it beforehand. She's not the type that can win a full-force battle or fight, she's not like Green or Red. She's much more of a mental fighter. Most of her skills rely on observing the situation and being a quick thinker in the matter. She may be able to take on a bit more pain and pushing than a normal girl of her age and size, but not by too much. Without pokemon, Blue doesn't have much combat experience. This comes from spending her youth escaping from tough situations instead of staying and fighting unless on rare occasion.

Mental/Emotional:
Out of the original three, Blue finds herself to be the most emotional. The barrier that she once had up to protect herself isn't up any longer, so she doesn't try to hide how she feels any more. Instead she lets it out. Especially in situations that mean a lot to her such as when she gained the pokedex from Professor Oak or when Silver cried over Giovanni. Blue cares and wants to protect her family and those precious to her almost to a fault. When she fails to help her parents, she passes out into a grief-coma. From both grief of losing her parents again and that she was just about to reunite with them. Due to the fact that much of Blue's power comes from her ability to understand and get ahead of the situation, when she can't do that it gets troublesome. Such as when she was fighting Deoxys. These types of engagements also cause her to be a bit more reckless than she should, such as rushing forward into a trap at a hologram of her parents. Otherwise Blue is quite mentally sound, it being a tough task to outsmart her. It'd be much easier to out power her.
